Cultural tour 1

During this tour you will be amazed by our incomparable mountains and celestial lakes. First of all you will visit "the Kyrgyz Sea" wonderful lake called Issyk Kul and surrounded by mountains. Then you will see Son Kul Lake that is also very beautiful and located on the altitude of 3016 m. a. s. l. You will live in yurts as real nomads and it is the best way to explore Kyrgyz life!

Tour summary:

Day 1: Bishkek city

Guide will take you from Manas Airport and attend to Bishkek City to have a breakfast. In Bishkek you will have a city tour and lunch. In the program of the tour there is a central Ala-Too Square, shady Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many other highlights.

Day 2: Bishkek - Son Kul Lake

After breakfast we start drive to Son Kul Lake (the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan). Lunch will be taken on the way. The altitude of Son Kul Lake is 3013 meters above sea level, it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan. Since ancient times Kyrgyz nomads used to come to this amazing area with their families for rest and relaxation. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. It is original nomad's dwelling that is gorgeous ornamented inside and covered by white felt.

Day 3: Son Kul Lake - Tash Rabat Caravanserai (Stone castle)

After packing your backpacks you will be driven to the Tash Rabat - legendary Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle from the 14th century). This is massive gloomy building with no analogue in the whole world, because it was made of stones inside a mountain at a height 3200 m a.s.l. There are 31 rooms with walls 1 m thick. There are also underground prison cells for ancient pilferers. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts near by the Tash Rabat caravanserai.

Day 4: Tash Rabat - Kochkor valley

Day starts with a traditional breakfast at 8 o'clock. You will be transferred to Kochkor village. At the Kochkorka village you will stay in the Kochkor Guesthouse. There you also visit a family that shows you the way of how national woolen felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet. Overnight will be in the Kochkor Guesthouse.

Day 5: Kochkor valley - Tamga village

You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you will be transported to the matchless celestial Issyk Kul Lake (200 km), the 2nd largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m.above sea level). On the trip you will drive through the gorgeous valley and you will pass the picturesque Orto Tokoi reservoir. arrival in Hotel you will have a rest on the southern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake. Because of the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses healing qualities. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. in Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.

Day 6: Tamga - Karakol

Day starts with a traditional breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you have free time to enjoy the lake till 12 pm. Afterwards, you will start your trip to Karakol city by car (50km). Delicious lunch will be served in the Karakol. And then you will have a guided Karakol City Tour. In the program there is a visit to the Dungan mosque and a small Russian Orthodox Church. Afterwards, you will visit the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky, one of the worlds greatest explores. He crossed Taklamakan desert and the discovered of more than 4000 animals. National dinner will be at 8 p.m. Night in a Guesthouse.

Day 7: Karakol - Bishkek

Breakfast is served at 8 o'clock. After the breakfast you drive toward Cholpon Ata city along the along the northern shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake (120km). On the way, we will make a short break at 1 pm, where you can enjoy lunch in calm and relaxed atmosphere. On the way, we will make a short stop to visit ancient stone depictions (dating back to 800 B.C.), including the local museum. From there you will be transferred to Bishkek city (280km) by car through a gorgeous Boom Gorge. At 7 pm a farewell dinner is served. Night is in a Hotel****.

Day 8: Bishkek - Europe

Tour guide will meet you in Hotel and attend you to Manas International Airport at the time arranged according to your tickets.
