We would like to invite you to a perfect tour for people who like nature. We made a specific route that goes from the south of Kyrgyzstan back to the north part. During this tour you will visit our amazing alpine lakes Sary Chelek and Son Kul. You will sleep not only in cozy guesthouses but also in yurts - traditional nomadic houses made of wood and felt. Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Sary Chelek Lake Guide will take you from Manas Airport and after breakfast you go to magnificent Sary Chelek Lake. There was a beautiful and deep gorge with a mountain river but after an avalanche the water start to collect right in the gorge and now there is the most beautiful lake in Kyrgyzstan! It is about 2.5 km wide and 75 km long! The altitude of this mountain lake is 1873 m . a. s. l. This famous for its virgin nature and plenty fauna so it is really worth to visit it!
Day 2: Sary Chelek - Arslan bob Day starts with a traditional breakfast at 8 o'clock. We start our trip to the famous Arslan Bob forests by car. There the huge trees are found growing wild on mountain slopes and along river banks at an altitude of between 1000 and 1800 meters a.s.l. Arslan Bob itself lies at 1700 m. a. s. l. Along the whole trip to the forest you will see many really picturesque places that will touch your heart. Overnight is in a local family.
Day 3: Arslan bob Today you will have enough time to explore this amazing place. You will go for hiking to enjoy this beatific place and to visit a waterfall there and you can just relax in calmness and silence of the forest.
Day 4: Arslan bob - Jalal Abad After a breakfast we will start driving to Jalal Abad town. One of Kyrgyzstan's main routes of the Silk Road passed through Jalal Abad and this region used to play important role in developing of the trading. You will drive to this southern town along a mountain road that will give you many fascinating views on the way. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 5: Jalal Abad - Osh city Day starts with a traditional breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then we will move to the second biggest city in Kyrgyzstan - Osh (South capital). It is the oldest city in Central Asia (about 3000 years old). You will have time to explore the Oriental bazaars in the city. Colorful and crowded bazaars are will make you to take hundreds of pictures; and also we will go to consecrated Suleiman Mountain that is situated in the very centre of the city. On the trip to the city we will go through ancient Uzgen town. There is a fancy decorated minaret and 3 beautiful mausoleums that were built in the 12 century. Overnight is in a guest house in Osh.
Day 6: Osh city - Kazarman village Today we will cross towering range ofPamir Alai Mountains. We will move back trough the Uzgen. Almost whole day we will drive in the heart of Tien Shan Mountain system by mountain roads, along majestic mountains and you will have a great chance to engrave this beauty in your memory. After arrival in Kazarman you will have a dinner and for night you will stay in a home stay.
Day 7: Kazarman - Tash Rabat Caravanserai After packing your backpacks you will be driven to the Tash Rabat - legendary Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle from the 14th century). This is massive gloomy building with no analogue in the whole world, because it was made of stones inside a mountain at a height 3200 m a.s.l. There are 31 rooms with walls 1 m thick. There are also underground prison cells for ancient pilferers. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts near by the Tash Rabat caravanserai.
Day 8: Tash Rabat - Son Kul Lake After breakfast we start drive to Son Kul Lake (the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan). Lunch will be taken on the way. The altitude of Son Kul Lake is 3013 meters above sea level, it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan. Since ancient times Kyrgyz nomads used to come to this amazing area with their families for rest and relaxation. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. It is original nomad's dwelling that is gorgeous ornamented inside and covered by white felt.
Day 9: Son Kul Lake (3013 m. a. s. l.) After long and nice sleep you have free day at Son-Kul Lake, when you will explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings on your own. Lunch will be served at 2 pm. Then you will walk or ride a horse to ancient petrogliphs and ritual stones of shamans. It is a great opportunity to get acquainted with nomadic traditional culture. National dinner will be served in yurts. You will spend the night in yurts as nomads do. Day 10: Son Kul Lake - Kochkor village Day starts with a traditional breakfast at 8 o'clock. You will be transferred to Kochkor village. At the Kochkorka village you will stay in the Kochkor Guesthouse. There you also visit a family that shows you the way of how national woolen felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet. Overnight will be in the Kochkor Guesthouse.
Day 11: Kochkor village - Konorchek canyons Today you will be transported to our matchless Konorchek canyons. There we will have hiking in a gorgeous place of red canyons. This place is completely different from any other mountains in Kyrgyzstan. The rocks there cut variously by winds and water and this is a real paradise for people who have excellent imagination!
