Highlights of tour: Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Ayz Qala, Khiva, Nukus, Turpak Qala, Khorezm, Karakalpakstan.
Day 1: Tashkent
Tashkent is an amazing city with a wonderful soul. We will have a full day city tour visiting Independence square, this square was erected as a symbol against the fascism during the The Great Patriotic War. There is a local Broadway just next to the square, we will walk through that walking area and will arrive to Amir Timur square. And we will take a ride in the metro, Tashkent metro is one of the most beautiful ones. In the old part of the city we will visit a colorful Chorsu bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and the very nice complex called Hast Imam. In this complex there are few madrasahs, a mosque and mausoleum. The main thing to see in the complex is a Copy of the Othman Quran, it's the oldest one from 8th century. Othman Ibn Affan was a third Caliph of the Prophet Muhammad. He had four Caliphs who succeeded the prophet. Othman was killed in 8th century and nowadays we can see his blood on the pages of Quran. The night is in the hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent - Nukus
This day we will fly to Nukus. A nice full day city tour in Nukus and one of the main sights we will visit will be Museum of Savitsky. This museum has a collection of the masterpieces of 20th century Russian avant-garde paintings, the art which was forbidden. We will see the works of Sokolov, Komarovskiy and Amarella group. The curator of the museum did a wonderful work, he was buying banned works from the persecuted soviet artists and even was getting for free. He made a nice museum where preserved all the works. Nowadays we can enjoy this museum without any fear. Then we will drive to Mizdakhan necropolis which is outside of the city, it's an ancient city. According to the archeologists this city is dating back to 4th BC till 14th century AD. And the last place to visit will be Chilpyk, it's 2200 years old Zoroastrian ancient monument. Day 3: Nukus - Ayaz Qala - Tuprak Qala - Khiva
This day we will go to visit Khiva, the city with wonderful sites and rich history. Khiva is an old city of Uzbekistan and the history of this city is connected a lot with the history of the fabled State of Khorezmshah. The capital of this state was Urgench. Khiva was an important trading center of the Silk Road in the 10th century. The caravans were stopping here on their way. Starting from the sunrise until the dawn the gates were open for the long string of camels with the huge luggage. Nowadays this city was preserved very well and will be passes to the next generations. On the way to Khiva we will stop in the fortresses called Ayaz Qala and Turpak Qala. Ayaz Qala is an ancient castle of Khorezm. The name was given after a brave warrior-slave Ayaz he was a Turkic folklore hero. The fortress was built in 1st or 2nd century AD. It was busy until 6th century AD. Then it was empty and many different occasions left this city without any sign of life. The night is in the hotel.
Day 4: Khiva - Bukhara
This day we will go to explore a wonderful city Bukhara. There are more than 140 architectural monuments in Bukhara. People even call this city "town Museum". On the narrow streets of this city you will see historical and architectural monuments from different times, the city full of green parks and gardens. On the road from Bukhara to Khiva we will pass famous Kizilkum desert. And we will enjoy the view to Amu Darya river which is flowing to Aral Sea. Amu Darya is the deepest river in Central Asia, it was formed by the confluence of the rivers Panj and Vakhsh. In Bukhara you will have some free time. The night is in the hotel.
Day 5: Bukhara
In Bukhara we will have a wonderful full day city tour. We will start from the Citadel Ark, dating back to 4th century. It was a palace for the dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Then we will go to see a real treasure of architecture, Samanids mausoleum from 9th - 10th century. The next site is Chashma Ayub, it's a well of Job. Then will be Bolo-Hauz mosque, which was built in honor of Abu-Fayud Khan who was a governor of Bukhara. Lyabi House ensemble is a main sight of Bukhara. We will walk towards the Ensemble passing through the shopping domes. Inside the Lyabi House we will see a Nodir Divan Begi madrasah which is a famous site. At the end of the tour we will visit Poi Kalon complex, which includes several structures built in the 12th century like Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. The night is in the hotel.
Day 6: Bukhara - Samarkand
From Bukhara to Samarkand we will take a train. Samarkand is a very old city which has the same age with Babilon and Rome. It's also the second biggest city in Uzbekistan and situated in the valley of the river Zeravshan. During the city tour we will visit places like Registan square, Shakhi-ZIndeh, Mausoleum Guir Emir and Bibi Khanim Mosque. Registan square consist three amazing Madrasahs from 15th -17th century. Shakhi Zindeh complex consist a collection of the mausoleums from 11th - 15th century. It's also a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanim Mosque is a mosque that Tamerlane built in honor of his beloved wife after his travel to India. The night is in the hotel.
Day 7: Samarkand - Tashkent (transfer or train)
This day we will return to Tashkent by train or maybe by a vehicle. Upon arrival we will have a full day city tour in the capital city. We will go to visit a memorial complex Courage Monument, which was built in honor of the elimination of the results of the earthquake. Then we will go to another complex Zangi Ota. The legend says that Zangi Ota was a shepherd who made many good deeds. The next site we will visit in the afternoon will be the Museum of the history of Timurids. There are 3 000 items in the museum like jewelry, musical instruments, weapons, coins, paintings, documents historical manuscripts and clothing of that period. The last site of the day will be the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, which has a collection of glasses, national clothing, hand and machine embroidery, skullcaps, national fabrics, carpets and woodcarving. The night is in the hotel.
Day 8: Flight
In the morning is transfer to airport.
