The wonders of Kyrgyzstan

Day 1: Bishkek - Chunkurchak - Bishkek
You will land at the International airport of Bishkek. You guide will meet you and you will drive to the capital city. Upon arrival we will start a city tour visiting Pobeda square (Victory square), Oak Park, Central square Ala'Too, Old square with a monument of Lenin, National Philarmonic Hall and other city sights. In the Afternoon we will drive outside the city to Chunkurchak gorge. This gorge is one of the smallest and one of the picturesque gorges in Kyrgyzstan. The name Chunkurchak means "hollow" from the Kyrgyz language. The territory of the gorge is a National Biological Reserve, it was made for conserve the species of tulips. In spring driving through the gorge you can see many different types of the flowers and a grassland. In the winter people go there for the ski resort. Chunkurchak goes to the larger Takhr Gorge, which contains a 200m rock overlooking the Alamedin River. Then we will return to Bishkek. The night is in the hotel.

Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Chon Kemin
This day we will drive to another gorge called Chon Kemin. On the way we will stop in Balasagun ancient city and see Burana Tower from 11^th century. Burana was a minaret in those times. We will also see an open air museum of Balbals. Balbals are the grave stones in form of the warriors. It's also possible to climb to the top of Burana tower. We will arrive to Chon Kemin gorge for lunch. In the afternoon we will have a horse riding tour for 3 hours. The horse riding route will go high to the mountains, crossing the mountain forests. At the end of the riding the wonderful panoramic view will open in front of us. The night is in the homestay.

Day 3: Chon Kemin - Issyk Kul lake northern shore
This day of the tour we will drive to Issik Kul lake, it's the second largest alpine lake in the world (1 608m). The size of the lake is 180km long and 60km wide. Issik Kul is a Pearl of Central Asia. For 15 centuries local people thought it's a sacred lake. The water in the lake is salty and that's why it has healing qualities. The lake is surrounded by the mountains. At the Soviet time the heads of the government were coming to this lake to spend the vacations. The night is in the hotel.

Day 4: Issyk Kul lake - Karakol
In the morning we will visit ancient stone inscriptions. The petroglyphs were made 2 000 years ago by the shamans. Then we will drive to Karakol city following the northern shore of the lake. In the Karakol we will have a city tour visiting Dungan mosque, it has a chinese style a was made by wood without using any nail. Then we will visit old wooden Orthodox Church. The night is in the hotel.

Day 5: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Bishkek
The last day of our tour we will drive back to Bishkek. On the way we will visit Jeti-Oguz gorge and will see the famous of the red rocks formations. The name Jeti Oguz means Seven Bulls form the Kyrgyz language, it's because the symbol of this area Jeri Oguz rocks looks like the seven bulls. And the other side of the rocks called Brocken Heart also because it looks like a heart which was broken in the middle. We can walk to the top of the hill to see better the view to the rocks. Then we will continue our drive along the southern shore of the lake and will stop in Bokonbaevo village, where we will meet a local eagle hunter. Eagle hunting is one of the old skills of the Kyrgyz people. And nowadays this nation is trying to save this culture and pass it to the next generations. In the ancient times the hunters were hunting hares, foxes and even the wolves with a help of an eagle. We will see a short show how an eagle is hunting. Return to Bishkek. The night is in the hotel.

Day 6: Bishkek - Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
