Kyrgyzstan trekking: Tour 02 Country: Kyrgyzstan Activity: Trekking tour Time of the tour: 13 days Believe us this adventure is right for you! Places to visit: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley - Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Barskoon Pass - Jashil Kol Lake - Arabel Suu valley - Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass - Dzhukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass - Jukuchak gorge - Orto-Bulak Pas - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu - Ak Sai Pass - Jeti Oguz gorge - Karakol town - Cholpon Ata - Bishkek city Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley Your guide will meet you at Manas International Airport and you will be accompanied to Bishkek City - the capital city of this wonderful land. 30 min. drive. The total day is devoted to the guided City Tour in Bishkek, including lunch. It will comprise the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places. At 5 p.m., you will be transferred to the Chon Kemin valley, where you also will spend the nighttime. Dinner will be served at 7 pm.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga You will start your trip to Tamga Village (380 km,6h) by car as soon as you finish with your breakfast that is served at 7 o'clock in the morning. We will drive along the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake southern shore. The nickname for this lake is "Central Asian Pearl". Issyk - Kul (1608m.above sea level) is the 2nd world's largest mountain lake. On the way, we will visit Talgat - hunter with golden eagles. He will tell us about his birds of prey. After it we can take some pictures of the eagles. Upon arrival in Tamga - resort town on the shore of the lake, we walk to the holy Manjili Ata sources. In the Guesthouse of Tamga you will spend the night. Dinner is served at 8 o'clock in the evening.
Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon Pass (3754 m) - Jashil Kol Lake - Arabel Suu valley (5 hours) After a hearty breakfast we will drive to Barskoon gorge. Then beginning preparations for the trek. We are going to the charming valleys in the mountainous Terskey Ala Too (Shady Mountains); there is the highest cascade in Kyrgyzstan. Here, we start our trekking. We have climb to Dunguromo pass (3100 m) passing through which we find ourselves in a magnificient valley Dunguromo, altitude 3820 m. Dinner will give us the opportunity to share with impressions of the first day. A few kilometers down from the pass, we stop for the camping. Night is in tents.
Day 4: Arabel Suu valey - Chokolu Kol Lake (7 hours) Early, around 7 o'clock in the morning we get up. Today we have an upright ascent through Zauka Pass to the Lake of Chokolu. The climate here is close to tundra. The landscape is relatively flat. From vegetation fine grass and moss prevail. We break our camp for the night coming closer to the lake. Overnight saty is at the altitude of 3800 m., in tents.
Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3720 m) - Dzhukuu gorge (7 h) As soon as we finish with breakfast we start preparing all of our equipment and belongings, and then loading it all on the horse, we will go further. We have to cross the Zauka pass (3720 m) and from this summit you will perceive hall loveliness of the Dzhukuu valley. After petite photo session we will go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we break camp at the altitude of 2900 m. for the night. Dinner and overnight is in tent camp.
Day 6: Djukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge (7 hours) We will rise up early morning like yesterday. After hearty meal we will go further looking for new impressions and feelings. After that we will begin to put ourselves in order. We will go along slopes are covered with juniper and fir-tree forest. Juniper is a very unique tree for several reasons: it has special root system that helps to survive in severe conditions; these trees higher than 10 m with winded tree trunks which represent protection system against strong winds; it could drop leaves during dry seasons for saving wetness and water in the soil around the tree. At the foot of Ashu Tor Pass we will stop to set up our tent camp. Overnight stay is at the altitude of 2970 m., in the tent camp. Dinner.
Day 7: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3638 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours) This day we will have a wonderful opportunity to take a bath with hot mineral water which we all dreaming for several days of our trek. Early in the morning - preparing all of our gear and then we will hike up the gorge Ashu Kashka Suu. Reaching the foot of the pass, we will make a short break for lunch and then we will have to climb to the Ashu Tor Pass (3638 m). After the pass we get into the Dzhukuchak gorge where the warm mineral springs are. Dinner and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2650 m.
Day 8: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto-Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu gorge (7 hours) We will go towards Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley in the morning. First we reach Issyk Kul forestry territory that is located in the Gorge of Dzhukuchak. After that we have to climb to (2900 m) Orto Bulak Pass. We will approach Kichi Kyzyl Suu Gorge, where, for the night, we break our camp. This place is famous for its stunning views of mountains and incredible beauty. While having dinner we share the impressions of the previous days. The night is supposed to be spent at the altitude of 2300 m. in tents.
Day 9: Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Jili-Suu water warm springs Following a good breakfast we prepare our gear and set forward in the direction of the picturesque valley - Chon Kyzyl Suu; we descend the Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu gorge through the forestry place. Then we will go along the Djily Suu Mountains and finally we get in Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Here we enter the area of Ak-Tash. Then we ascend about three miles up to the warm mineral water sources where we will again be able to take a warm bath and relax, like it was yesterday. Dinner and overnight is in tents at an altitude of 2500 m.
Day 10: Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Ak Sai Pass (2805 m) - Jeti Oguz gorge (7 hours) We start in Jeti Oguz Gorge direction after breakfast. Djety Ogyz is one of the most popular places in our country to visit. This is the last day of trekking! First, we go down to cross the river Kyzyl Suu (Red River) in the place of Ak Tash. Afterwards we begin the ascent to Kok - Dzhayyk Pass. There it seems as if the whole world looks at you. The road, which will impress you with its dead silence, will pass through a small pine wood. We will have a look at Jeti Oguz Gorge after the forest. Jety Oguz will impress you for sure. We reach the yurt camp of Kok Dzhayyk after a couple of kilometers. Dinner and overnight are at the altitude of 2300 m., in The Valley of Kok Dzhayyk, in yurts.
Day 11: Jeti Oguz gorge - Karakol town Cholpon Ata - Bishkek city So this is the last day of our adventures in Terskey Mountains. Our car will be waiting for us near the yurt camp. Afterwards we will go to Karakol town - administrative and cultural center of Issyk Kul region. During the city tour in Karakol we will visit old Dungan Muslim mosque and old Orthodox Church. At soviet time it was named Prajevalsky in honor of the Great Russian pilgrim Nikolay Prajevalsky. Lunch is in Karakol. As soon as we finish with lunch we head to Bishkek. Overnight is in the hotel of Asia Mountains. Day 12: Bishkek This day in Bishkek city you will have a spare time to buy souvenirs to your relatives and friends and just to go for a walk. For additional price, it is possible to go to Ala - Archa Natural Park that is situated 45 km south the capital. Ala - Archa is a preferred place for weekenders. A farewell dinner is in the evening. After that it is possible to have a walk to the Ala Too Central Square to watch new musical fountains with multicolored lights.
Day 13: Bishkek You will be met by your guide at your hotel in the morning at the pick up time arranged previously according to the details of your home flight and accompany you to Airport Manas.
