 Tour name: Where the mountains are touching the sky Highlights of tour: Dushanbe, Khorog, Murgab, Langar, Kalai Khum, Bulunkul lake, Yashylkul Lake, Norak, Hissor. Day 1: Dushanbe - Khoburubot - Kalai Khum This day we will drive to Kalai Khum village, we will go through the mountain road and cross over the Khoburubot pass (3 252m), it's Western Pamir Tract. On the way we can enjoy the most beautiful valleys and gorges, we will stop for the photos, of the rivers and mountains. We will meet many local people on the way. Tajiks are very kind and hospitable nation. This nation is respect their culture, tradition and folklore. If you are curious and adventurous person you will love this trip in Tajikistan. The night is in the hotel. Day 2: Kalai Khum - Khorog This day we will drive to Khorog city, the tiniest city on the map of the world. The city is in the middle of the rocky mountains. The town is located on the confluence of three rivers like Shokhdara, Ghund and Pyanj. On our way we will meet the Pamir people. They are different from Tajik people because of the mountain life style. The major part of Pamir people has blue eyes and blonde hair. The Pamir Mountains are highest mountains in the world with human population after Himalayas in Tibet. The night is in the guesthouse. Day 3: Khorog - Murgab Today we drive from Khorog to Murgab town. The town is the main place to visit in the Pamir Mountains. Local people say "if you didn't visit Murgab, you can't say you have been in the Pamirs". The Murgab town is surrounded by the highest mountains with the dozens of peaks higher than 6 000meters. The landscape of Murgab you can compare with the surface of the Moon. The climate of Murgab is almost Arctic. The summers are short and cool, the winters are severe and freezing. The night is in the guesthouse. Day 4: Murgab - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake - Langar Today we will visit the most amazing lakes of Pamir, like Yashil Kul and Bulunkul Lake. They are situated at the altitude of 3 700m in Murgab district. The water color is extraordinary, it's violet and dark-blue in the sunshine. There are different types of fish inside the lake. And also we will see the yaks, cows and sheep. On the way to the lake we will cross Naizatash pass (4 137m). After lunch we will drive to Langar. The night is in the homestay. Day 5: Langar - Khorog This day we will drive to Khorog village driving along the Afghan border. The territory if The Pamir Mountains are located on the altitude from 3 500 to 4 200m. It's the area of the majestic sky mountains, transparent clear blue water lakes and rivers, picturesque valleys and dry deserts. People called this area "the Roof of the World". And you will clearly understand why. Also the Pamirs is one of the unique places where the Pamir people exist. For many years the different groups of people lived separately in their isolated enclaves and created their own dialects and culture. The night is in the guesthouse. Day 6: Khorog - Kalai Khum We will drive to Kalai Khum along the same way we did before. This territory is full of rocky mountains over 6 000m and it was possible to build just one road. In this trip through the Pamirs we will have a wonderful opportunity to learn a lot the Tajik people and their culture and lifestyle. And at the same time we will enjoy incredibly beautiful surrounding area. We will stop in small villages to meet the local people and learn more about their life. The houses of the locals are located on the both sides of the river. And the other side of the river will be Afghanistan. The night is in the homestay. Day 7: Kalai Khum - Norak - Dushanbe This day we will return to Dushanbe and we will drive the last kilometers along the Afghanistan border. The highest point during the day will be Shuraba pass (2 267m). This territory is already Pamir Mountains' area that will surprise you will the beauty of the mountains. During many centuries the travellers explorers were inspired by this corner of the world. And we will understand why Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, MIrza Muhammad Haidar came to this places and discovered number of new things. The people who have visited the Pamirs call this mountain system the ocean of the colorful mountains. On the way we will stop in Norak water reservoir for some sunbath and bath, it's known as Tajik Sea for the locals. The nigh is in the hotel in Dushanbe. Day 8: Dushanbe - Hissor - Dushanbe The last day of our tour we will have a full day city tour in the capital of Tajikistan. We will visit Rudake Park, National library, the White house, National state sugn and Parliament House. And then we will go to see the biggest National Flag in the world, which is in the National Park. The size of the flag is incredible 30m wide and 60m long and it's on the 165m long pole. Then we will visit Central Museum and in the afternoon we will drive outside of the city to visit Hissor Fortress (VII-XVII centuries). The fortress has a good protected area and citadel. It was a residence for the delegate of the Emir of Bukhara. The walls of the fortress are 1 m thick and it has the hole for the guns and cannons. Inside it was well planned, with the pool and a garden. The market square was in front of the fortress with the shops and serai. Nowadays we can see just an entrance gate with two towers. There few other sites in Hissor like a monument of "Madrasa I Kuhna", mosque and mausoleum of Mahduni Azam (16th century). We will return to Dushanbe for dinner. The night is in the hotel. Day 9: Dushanbe - Airport In the morning is transfer to airport.
