 Tour name: Choose your Turkmenistan Highlights of tour: Ashgabat, Kow-Ata, Darwaza, Dashoguz, Kunya Urgench. Day 1: Ashgabat You will arrive at the airport of Ashgabat and will meet your guide. We will have a full day city tour in the capital of Turkmenistan that was founded in 1881. The city is situated close to the Iran border in the foothiils of Kopet Dag. The name Ashgabat means "eshg"-love and "abad"- populated, well-planned, from Persian language. During your city tour we will visit Lenin square, Park of Incependence, Arch of Nuetrality. At the end of the tour we will visit the Museum of Ethnography and Museum of Fine Ata. The night is in the hotel. Day 2: Ashgabat - Kow-Ata This day we will drive to Kow-Ata lake. It's an amazing lake with a mystery. Kow-Ata is an underground lake, located 107km away from the capital. Kow-Ata menas "father of the cave". The lake is hidden deep in the cave which is narrow 20m, and 230m long. The water of the lake is warm and has a wonderful color. The temperature of the water is 33-37°C. It's possible to swim in the lake. Day 3: Kow-Ata - Darwaza - Dashoguz Darwaza, many people heard about this magic of the nature. Almost everyone come to Turkmenistan because they want to see Darwaza gas crater. Today we will drive to the crater, stay in the camp nearby and enjoy the sounds and heat of this giant oven. Then we will drive to Dashoguz for overnight. Day 4: Dashoguz - Kunya Urgench - Ashgabat Today we will drive to Kunya Urgench. We are going there because of the old architectural monument of ancient Urgench which was a capital of Khorezm in X-XII centuries. We will have a sightseeing tour in this wonderful area visiting Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kurba, Tyurabek Khanum, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzibey and the highest minaret in Central Asia Kutlyg Timur. We will fly back to Ashgabat from the airport of Dashoguz. The night is in the hotel. Day 5: Ashgabat - Merv - Mary This morning we will drive to the east of Turkmenistan. There is a fortress Abiverd and another site called Merv. Abiverd is one of the eight historical reserves of Turkmenistan after Kunya-Urgench, Nissa, Dakhaistan. Aslso we will see the remains of the Seyit Jamal-ad-Din Mosque from 15th century. Muhhamed Khudaiot built this mosque in 1455. Merv was a city on the crossroad of the Silk Road and became one of the biggest cities of thet times and became an important capital of Islam. After arrival you will have a tour visiting Ctyz Gala, Erl Gala, Soltan Sanjar Mausoleum, Ibn Zeid Mausoleum. Then we will return to Mary. The night is in the hotel. Day 6: Mary - Ashgabat - Nissa - Horse farm - Ashgabat Today we will return to Ashgabat by the local flight. Upon arrival we will drive to Nissa fortress which was a Sanctuary of Parthian Kings. The fortress became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. Then we will drive to Gokdepe to see the pride of the Turkmen people, Akhal-Teke horses. The horses will demonstrate you all their skills in a short show. Then we will return to Ashgabat for overnight. Day 7: Flight In the morning is transfer to airport.
